sorry - probably a stupid question, i am quite useless when it comes to computers. I put in my model number and it gave me options of bios update and chipset driver, is it bios update i should download? thanks again

No it's the chipset drivers that you should be downloading.

  • thanks will try that.
  • I downloaded the driver onto a usb stick and then put it in the other laptop and tried to run it but it said something like - not compatible with windows32?

"tanto" has very good advice here , have you looked to see if there are any yellow exclamation marks against your network adapters ,or even if the adapters are there ! !

If you have them , it should just be a case of uninstalling the network adapters , via device manager and then reboot . Your drivers will reinstall on reboot ;)
