    east leeds is pretty big now and covers a wide area. i'm from Garforth, though i don't live there anymore - it was a good place to grow up - lots of amenities,great schools.Has its fair share of chavs, but its a very commutable place. Closer to town is Crossgates - not too bad has a train station. There are nastier bits to east leeds, but its subjective...

    I know to avoid Harehills/Chapeltown, and possibly Seacroft, but I don't know much about the other areas. Garforth is pretty far out, isn't it?
