No stone cold, contrary to the title of your PM (which i didn't bother to open), I am not a sad person, I refuse to stand back and watch you swear and abuse members of a message board.

I think you're the sad one, how long did it take you to work out how to get around the swear filter?

You cant just directly call a job centre now, you need to go through a switchboard first and you tell them which office you wish to go.

OP you must have been late on previous sign ons for them just to stop your JSA.

I got told you could. I do have (it was given to me) the number for my local JC.

If you can ring the RAC, you can ring a directory enquiries number and get the number for the jobcenter? Why did you not just do that?
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Lateness ONCE isn't a reason to stop JSA - TWICE however is (it may be twice in a row or three times altogether can't quite remember)
  • The people at the Jobcentre do not have the power to stop your benefit for lateness. They have to submit your case to a 'decision maker' they will decide whether your lateness is to be punished or excused. They should have asked you for a statement where you could, in your own words, explain the lateness.

IF you get sanctioned you have the right of appeal. Keep hold of any documents you have from the RAC to back up your reasons.

Jobcentres ARE sanctioning more than ever, it's a disgrace!
