I got my (now-)hubby a letter from Spurs - completely forgot to take it with me to give to the best man!! At least it'll be a nice present for him next week when we're back home from our mini-moon!! :rotfl:

love this idea i have just sent your letter to Ricky Hatton (the boxer) if it works will be amazing as OH would never expect something like this and to have the best man read it means we will all get to see the look on OHs face lol. Also a lovely memento from the day. Huge thanks moneytroubles xx

My letter from Man Utd came yesterday - less than two weeks which was quick!
Only two issues - one they sent it to my address and not my MOH's like I requested! I didn't know what it was so I opened it with H2B stood right next to me! Luckily he didn't see it!
Second was it had got creased up in the post! :mad: I managed to iron it so it's not as bad but I am a little upset that it's not nice and straight - they had also folded it in half to use a smaller envelope!

A tip might be to supply your own A4 envelope with "do not bend" written on it or one of those envelopes with card in that they use to send certificates and the like?

I am just waiting to see if our local football club will send me one as well as H2B is a Man Utd fan but also a fan of the local club from the town we grew up in.

Exactly the same as me from the same club! Luckily when i opened it my H2B never asked what it was PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,

I used to be Money troubles but changed my log in details in the new year (new start and all that) anyway just wanted to tell you that i got wed last weekend after intial wedding plans were postponed due to snow and the hubster LOVED the letter from Arsenal , best man read it out in his speech and I had it framed so DH had it on the top table for all to see xxx

I plan on putting H2Bs in a frame too and giving it to him myself because our best man (his cousin) is coming all the way from Australia and i wont get a chance to me on my own with him once he comes over so when all speeches have finished i plan on quickly standing up and saying how i have something special for my new hubby which i want him to tell and show everyone once he has opened it. No one at all knows about it and i want to keep it that way x

ok, so after reading this whole thread I decided to go about sending some emails to celebs and other people my partner likes.
I sent 3 emails on saturday and received in todays post...........
A signed picture from Kevin Bridges, a signed picture from Gordon Ramsey and best of all a wedding card from Everton Fc personally signed in felt tip with our names and congratulations etc which is also signed by 4 of the players!-they even included 2 signed photos of two other players aswell! He is Everton mad!

Thanks for a fab idea and I will certainly be sending out lots more before my wedding in April!!!!
