received letter from Arsenal today :D

Hiya, just thought that i would share that I wrote to Arsenal football club and asked if they could send the soon to be hubster well wishes for the wedding day! anyway i have been very nervous as wedding is in 9 days and i still hadn't received a reply, but today it arrived at my parents house - yay! im so excited i think its such a good touch, and he wil love it!!

I'm thinking of doing a box of stuff for my H2B to be given to him on the morning, with a few smallish presents. A letter from his club (Everton) would be a brilliant addition! Could you PM me the wording you used pretty please, if it's not any trouble?

i recieved my letter from man u recentaly too- was very impressed- only took a week- and will frame it to give to best man to read out in the speeches

Hiya! Well I emailed Arsenal first using a link on their website and they asked me to put my letter in writing 4-6 weeks before the wedding and gave me the address.

I sent the following...

To whom it may concern

My fiance and I are getting married on [insert date] and it has been mentioned to me that some football clubs send a message of well wishes for their fan's wedding day.

I am not sure this is something Arsenal do, or whether your office is the right one to contact. However my husband to be, [insert name] is a huge fan of Arsenal football club and has been since he was very young. It would be great if he could receive a message of good luck on our wedding day.

If this is possible, perhaps you could send the message to me at the address below, for me to pass on to the Best Man, to read out on our wedding day.

Our details will be:
[insert married names]

My parents address is:
[ insert address]

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.

and the lovely moneytroubles forwarded me the same message- so i put the same-- got the address from the man u site, and sent it to them with a self addressed envelope- make sure you put on the envelope do not bend
took about a week to arrive
very happy with it, and oh will love it
