EDF Tariff Info required
I am trying to get information or understanding of EDF tariffs.
I have had a job working out my bill i.e converting cuft to kw but cannot get any understanding on how the tariffs work, the part where the tariff goes cheaper after I have used the first 2600.
I have only been on EDF 12 month and none of my bills show a consistant crossover point or figure.
I have asked EDF for an explanation but the Goerdie lasses accent made her explanation unintelegable so I am hoping someone out there can help me.

It is straightforward. The first 2680 kWhs each year* are charged at the higher rate. This is calculated when each bill is generated on a daily basis - about 7.34 kWh each day. So if a bill covers 91 days 668 kWhs are charged at tier 1; if it covers only 88 days only 646 kWhs at tier 1; if a monthly bill then 31 days x 7.34 = 227 kWhs.
* (ignore this complication if you like: in most cases in practice it will be the first 670 kWhs each quarter that it will be based on - unused units should not rollover from one quarter to the next (this is in the customers favour, btw, if you are lost.) )0 -
Many thanks Kim for your speedy reply' wouldn't you think EDF would put it on their bill somewhere.
I don't suppose you would fancy a job with them, they could use you0
