coal or wood boilers

I hope someone can help. I currently have oil central heating and hot water, but would like to change to a boiler which I can feed wood and coal into. I only have a 2 up and 2 down house with no utility room so would have to go into the kitchen and be no bigger than a washing machine. I already have a log/coal burning stove in the sitting room which is great.

You could replace current stove with same but with back boiler to connect to heating and hot water system, however it can be complex installing such a system, maybe an idea to call in an approved installer for further information, perhaps survey what is already in place, and if viable to change over?

We're just going the other way!
Have large log/solid fuel burner that does water and 8 radiators - not sure how complicated to change sorry.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
May work out cheaper if you just swapped houses :rotfl:
