In that case I'd avoid any cards issued by Bank of Scotland.shortbackandsides wrote: »...as in january it was a decline...sainsburys
Depends on the lenders' 'policy rules'. There's a guide here...i thought you can re-apply like 6 months later

...detailing re-apply times, but these are following account closure - not application decline.
That table also details the relationships, ie who owns who. Make sure you familiarise yourself with it before potentially wasting an application.
I'd start at the top of this table...what cards would you suggest

...and work down. But don't forget to cross reference your shortlist with the 'who owns who' table referenced above.
Good luck.0 -

Have you ever considered appealing any of the rejections? In the past, I have been refused by computer, then followed up with a copy of my credit file and a request for the decision to be reviewed. It has always worked in my favour when being reviewed by a human!shortbackandsides wrote: »YB what cards would you suggest,no missed payments ever or late,no ccj,no,default, nothing negative just those 10 searches 8-10 months ago,5 k debt,25k income must be someone who will accept me
That said, not all lenders are using credit agencies at the moment. I was rejected (in the process of appealing) by Lloyds on the basis I have a current account with them that is underused (expenses paid in/ out to keep separate from my main account). I read their generic rejection letter which didn't explain how they came to their decision, as they are supposed to do, and purchased 2x paper copies from the two big companies. When the searches did not show on either of my reports, they then said it was a decision based on in house information!!
