Sorry if this has been posted before, but I did do a search.
I am suddenly receiving loads of spam e mails with either bizarre share tips or links to some pretty horrific !!!!!! sites. Ihave 2 e mail accounts, and they're coming to both!
Any ideas how to stop them? I'm running AVG and Zone Alarm.

Since they have your address it's too late to stop them, the best you can do is filter them. Does your ISP have any sort of spam filtering option?Stompa0

One possible solution (one I use) is to install a programme like pop peeper or poptray which tells you when you've new mail on the server. You can then check it, delete the rubbish and only download what you actually want.
Pop peeper checks my mail very few minues ( I set the timing) and automatically opens up my email client once I've got rid of the junk.0 -
and how do I get this?Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

mailwasher does a similar job, or use Thunderbird as your email client. It has a decent spam filter built into it.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

Well.....almost. Mailwasher only checks one account and is in many ways inferior to the multi account and multi function pop peeper. I've used Thunderbird and the filter system is very good, but it takes time and lots of diligence by the user to have it do a satisfactory job. Pop peeper (and similar programmes) work instantly and from the outset deny access to your PC from junk mail.0
