i am currently paying £25 to orange for my broadband ( i thought it was only £18 and has gone up somwhere along the line)
we have a BT home phone (family and friends)
and a sky basic package ( no films or footy)
which is the best packkage for internet i need unlimited daily use for 2 pc's we live in an area where we carnt get most internets as its rural
so i think it is going to have to be bt or sky
i need wireless to run the pcs off it
can anyone help with best options out there as it is a mine field of differnet tarrifs etc
dont want to keep paying orange £25 so urgent help is needed

Check what LLU is available -
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php
If you can't get Sky as LLU then they are best avoided. If you can they are probably your best option.
IMO the only other LLU worth using is Be/O2 but from what you've said about location I suspect that you won't get any LLU at all.
Without LLU you still get the choice of virtually any ISP because they all resell BT wholesale products (as do the BT Retail ISP). You may need to reconsider your "unlimited" requirement as in truth none are. Putting an accurate figure on your usage will allow you to pick the best value package (which probably won't be the cheapest).0 -
As kwikbreaks say, post your LLU options and more advice can be given. You have dozens of options in addition to Sky or BT.No free lunch, and no free laptop

As I said originally virtually all ISPs resell BT wholesale products.
Take a look at PlusNet, Zen, IDNet and Newnet to see if any of their packages look of use. You won't get the cheaper deals from PlusNet who price according to exchange market category (which would have shown on the SamKnows page). There are lots of other decent ISPs but also a lot of lemons. In the main if you've seen their adverts rule them out.
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/isps.html lists more ISPs.
This ranking list may help but is not a scientific survey - http://www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_ratings.php
Check for cashback (Quidco TopCasBack) on the one you eventually pick before signing up directly with any ISP.0 -
thank u its a minefield
