As far as I know they aren't a registered charity as they are a very small group.* They have an excellent reputation though and they have recently been the monthly 'sponsored' group on The Refuge.

You can make a donation to them with PayPal. The link is at the bottom of their home page. If you want to contact them and make a donation with a cheque, etc you can do it through their home page, or contact the user "Amanda-EDDR" through The Refuge.

*(Becoming a registered charity is expensive and time consuming, so only the larger organisations usually do it).
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

Get a greyhound - they're superb pets (very lazy though!) :)
  • Well done for going for a rescue dog! They have so much to offer and it's great getting to know their characters! :T :j :D

It would need to be a be more lively Andy, as I work by S.Downs and need plenty of fat burning walks rest of the time.I've not ruled in/out any dog but I have had a staffie & a APBT in the past and they were fantastic dogs (dog/!!!!!),This is why endangereddogs.com caught my attention, I never thought ,after all the bad press someone cared that much about "pit bull types".

You could also check out Staffy Cross who specialise in rehoming staffies as well as staffy crosses. As you've had a staffy before, you'll know how sweet they can be.

But they (along with GSDs) are amongst the hardest breeds to rehome, many of the ones that end up in the pound don't make it out again. :-(

Hi pboae.I've followed your "The Refuge" link & am now on- board.I'll have a nose at Staffy Cross see whats what.
  • I've tried to support rescue dogs like this too in the past and have gone through hell trying to find a decent charity to give money to. But I've just found this site (I think its new) which might be useful helping people choose reputable charity people! I've got no idea whose behind this, but its worth a look I think.

    Its http://www.intelligentgiving.com.

fanntasiefish. The site has only started up this week, but they've been doing a lot of research for at least a few months.
It's pretty good, but with anything, it's only as good as the information they have, some of which is out of date, as the information produced is out of date.

They use Annual reports, and some charities don't produce them as quickly as they should. Although this does give you more information about the charity.

The site doesn't tell the whole picture about the charities, but it does give you a good view.
for more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.
