Review date is when you'll get the ESA50 (as the changeover will have started by then).

In answer to the OP my review this year was many months late, but all done and dusted now.
  • My first medical for IB was in june 2009 i haven't sent sick notes since.

I had my form sent a few weeks ago which i returned. I heard nothing and don't know if i will be sent for a medical, i don't live in the test area which are doing the new test area of esa.

You don't have to send sick notes after your first medical, it's all in the letter saying you passed PCA.
If you sent an IB50 then it will be PCA as you had before, and you will be changed to ESA on your next review date, which will be sent in your next "passed PCA" letter. A few weeks is a very short time in DWP terms!
