Me personally? Id neg him and take one back. Id leave something to the effect of:

    Poor seller, threatens retalliatory negs

    I despise sellers that threaten!

Hi. is there no chance of a refund from him if you return the item or anything like that in order to resolve the matter?

I am afraid he can do that, the only thing is to make your reply to his Neg as honest and concise as possible (not always possible due to the character count).

that or wait til the 90th day to leave your feedback.. even then its not guaranteed that he wont be bblockd in leaving you one.

You can report him to Ebay for 'Feedback extortion - Demanding any action of a fellow user that he or she is not required to do, at the threat of leaving negative feedback.' ;)

Have you gone through a dispute or anything? If you arent happy then do a dispute and get your money back - bear in mind you would probably have to send the item back by trackable delivery.

Whats his feedback already like and whats yours like? If you want to leave a negative then do so - if he does so in return you can leave a follow up remark.

  • Thanks for the advice. I haven't had the item yet, he said he would re-list it if I didn't pay within 24 hours so I had to pay and I'm waiting for delivery. I might try the 'feedback extortion' thing when I get it through. I don't understand why people have to be so difficult.

If this all happened before you paid why did you bother paying? Or did you pay because he threatened neg feedback? I would wait and see if you are happy with the item before you decide whether to neg him!

You have 90 days to leave feeback(I think).
Just set an alarm for a few mins before your chance to leave feeback expires and then post it, He/she wont have a chance to reply.

Doesn't work like that unfortunately :(

'Around 90 days' is the rule. People have been able to leave feedback quite a bit later than that.

  • I used a snipe bid and I check every day or so to see what I have won. He sent me a message complaining that I had not contacted him immediately after the auction and that if I didn't pay within 1 day of it ending that he would re-list and I wouldn't get the item. I have never had a seller who was so difficult before and I told him so......maybe you feel that is reasonable but I don't.
