Don't know this boiler but your hot water fault sounds the standard fault with combis that have a plate heat exchanger

Plate heat exchanger is blocked on the system side of the plate. Proved by no fault codes showing when hot water goes cold.

Heating not working too well wouldn't be the plate though.

I would suspect the ch (primary) thermistor could be the problem, maybe even the cause of both problems.

I also find it hard to get my head round how a system which is soley underfloor heating would need powerflushing?

As this is just lengths of plastic pipes, I cannot see where and sludge or muck can come from. This is usually caused by corrosion from the inside of radiators etc.

In my limited knowledge...that is what i thought about the power flush. After trying to read up on the internet..it seemed like everyone requiring a power flush had radiators which were old and blocked up. I couldnt understand how we would need it with underfloor heating.

Incedentally, the underfloor heating in one of the bedrooms has not worked for 18 months (dont get me started on underfloor heating! rubbish!)

just looking on further documents and my boiler had a magna clean in march this year? not sure if that is relevant or not...

Which 'engineers' recommended a powerflush? That is usually the stock BG response to almost any boiler/CH problem.
A Magnaclean is a magnetic filter, it will keep the system cleaner but it won't remove existing blockages or non-ferrous sludge.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

it was Barclays SOS engineers...who just contract a seperate firm out i think. 4 different engineers from there have given 4 different theories!

You should have a manifold where all the UFH pipes connect to, with its own pump. It will probably be in a cupborad near the floor.

This will have flow meters on each circuit and a balancing valve to adjust the flow. Check these are open. (as you turn them count the number os turns it takes to fully open them) Also check this pump is working.

Yep ive found this...there are five grey plastic pipes that are going down into the floor, and only around 3 of these are warm, the others cold. i suspect the cold ones are the ones leading to the broken bedroom!?

the copper thicker pipes on the left are both hot as well (believe this will be the water)

there is a valve on each of the grey pipes but cant see which ones i am meant to turn!
