Lollipop Leasing - problems (Part 2)

Options
I’d like to have added this to the Lollipop Leasing – problems thread but it appears to be closed.

Just like to add my experience to the list in the hope that people can be warned about this operation and avoid Lollipop Leasing at all costs. Sadly, I came across this thread too late.

Like many of the previous contributors, I’ve made my initial payment, promised delivery has passed by, with no prospect of getting the car nor of getting my money back. Anyone who has had dealings with him knows how he operates.

I would recommend anyone else is a similar position to contact Consumer Direct either by phone on 08454 040506 or via their website and make them aware. They’ll take details of your complaint, offer advice and forward your case to the relevant authorities. Trying to deal with this guy individually is a futile exercise. It may be a long shot but the more people that hold up their hand and say they’ve also been a victim, the more of a case the authorities can build and hopefully get this guy closed down for good.

A little surprised at the original posting by the MSE Forum Manager which has subsequently been edited. Given the less than flattering postings on the thread, it was naive at best (some might go so far as to say irresponsible) to post a statement on behalf of Lollipop Leasing without first verifying the content.

For the avoidance of any doubt, DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR Lollipop Leasing. If you’ve already had the misfortune get in touch with Consumer Direct. You have my commiserations.

  • As Lollipop are no longer at their offices in Sheep Market, St.Ives, Cambs it may be helpful for people to know the MD's home/current business operating address. Can I post this info?
  • Please do - I have notified the police but do not have an address to provide them with other than the empty rented office at Sheep Market. If you cant publish an adress, could you PM me?
  • Please note that Daniel Miller now appears to be using a new companay - "Ultimate Online Shopping Ltd". I ordered and paid for a rug a month ago. It has not been delivered and I have been unable to contact them.

    This guy's a right fleecer isn't he

How can any "normal" civil person continue to rip people off.

I hope he gets caught and ends up in prison for a long time. Obviosuly he'll plead that he's sorry and end up getting a single cell with a double bed, luxurious bedding and a flat screen telly with a playstation.

How many compalints do they need to investigate this? Seems to me as if trading standards/the police are stalling.

If i had ever fallen for this SCAM and given this scum money and he ripped me off, i'd hunt the c*nt down and smash him into next week
If Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred
  • Hi to all the unwitting victims of this conman, you have my sincere sympathy.
Also it would be appreciated if the mediator (or whoever else is responsible) could explain why my previous post (which was actually my first) containing FACTS (and not suppositions) regarding the Lollipop Leasing Car Con Company has mysteriously disappeared from the forum and also why my profile statistics state that my postings are ZERO?!

As foretold and stated in the last line of my previous post, it appears that the villain DOES have more rights than all of his victims.
  • Has anyone managed to get a dollor out of him. I got a CCJ, and he screamed poverty, and had the payemsnt cut to £80 per month, and has not paid a dollar since september, which was a checque which bounced ..The company is not trading, and I think I am never going to see my money despite a ccj being in place. It seems a bit daft that you take the trouble to take a debtor( thief) to court and they can still ignore you and not make any payments what is the point he does seem to have more rights than us, its really not fair:j

I hadn't heard anything from him since December 2010, and then out of the blue, had an email in December 2011 saying:

"At the moment I have given you either a few payments or possibly nothing at all. Well I have now had my house repossessed and have about £ 80,000 personal debt and around £ 80,000 business. To help me to be able to pay the personal debt. I am proposing to transfer your debt to a new company (yet to be formed) in my Mum’s name and then when I go bankrupt this debt can still be paid through her.

By going bankrupt, this will wipe out the personal debt and business debts minus deposits (this is you guys) I have and then I can concentrate on getting you guys all paid back."

He then goes on to say that he wants to pay back every penny and interest on top.

As it stands, I haven't contacted him because I find it hard to believe a word he says and if he is the con-man that I think he is, I don't want to get in any deeper. Anyone have the same email?
  • Don't do it we had a similar email last year. I believe he is trying to make a case for going bankcrupt but cannot do it unless all his creditors and debtors confirm how much he owes.

    Don't reply, don't help him
  • Daniel Miller's latest venture is jamdup.com, selling computer hardware, but with the same litany of dissatisfied customers across the country. There have been complaints on a couple of hardware forums, but he has succeeded in getting at least one thread pulled. The remaining one is at hotdeals.com - let's hope they keep the thread up, MoneySavingExpert too!
