BT Vision and Sky Sports package

BT were unable to transmit Sky Sports to my area as my local transmitter (Mendip) isn't up to it, so I asked for the package (£6.99 per month) to be cancelled. No one mentioned that they would automatically cancel all the On Demand services too! BT are now wanting me to pay £2.99 on top of the basic £17.99 p/m price (excluding line rental) if I want On Demand services again. So bascially I am paying £17.99 for broadband (which is expensive at that price) and the ability to fast forward and rewind a programme that I am already watching! Everything I have read on their website indicates that On Demand services are part of the £17.99 monthly charge. Has anyone else got this problem or able to offer advice? I am worried that if I try and cancel I will not get any refund on the router and will pay cancellation charges.
