Amazon Price Raised over Lunchtime!!!

Indeed i do, it just seems funny that there is no threshold like a real basket should be, surely when you walk around a supermarket, and you put an item in your basket at the 99p price for a tin of beans, you don't expect the price to have changed while your stood waiting to pay?
I would certainly query it.
This is the way i see a basket, not how some online retailers see it.
Buy a Dell for example, their basket guarantees it for 15 minutes. Ticket master do the same, add it to your basket, they keep it open for 5 minutes or so.
I sometimes keep items in my Amazon basket for days or weeks. You don't do that in a supermarket.
It's unfortunate but you dithered and got caught out.The man without a signature.0 -

and according to your first post you went to lunch with it in the basket without placing the order, I would guess that was more than 5 and probably more than 15 mins, an expensive lunch break.0 -
In a previous life I used to work in purchasing for a small IT company, we'd buy off some of the same big IT distributors as amazon buy from, most of their prices are tied to the dollar rate and you'd be amazed how much these prices can shift throughout the day. Obviously Amazon will be getting very favourable prices from distributors, but they also keep their margins rather tight on high competition items such as laptops so I doubt it's simply a case of amazon wanting to make an extra £45 on that laptop, it's probably going to be due to an increase in their cost.0

Prices go up and change. Did you expect them to ask you a convenient time to put them up?0
