SP - new prices, are they after the price hike or before?

Another question sorry.
If I decide to move over, and I do the online switch on 30 Nov, do you think I will have to pay the exit fee? I want to be able to get the £100 offer still and that expires on 30 Nov.
Plus, am I right in thinking the new prices will start from the day I am accepted for the switch over?
Thanks.
Whilst I cannot guarantee that what I am about to say is correct. It would make sense to me that as long as SP are still providing gas/electricity to your premises on the 30th November then you are still an SP customer and therefore you have not broken any T&C regarding changing to another supplier and so cannot be expected to be charged any exit fee. Ideal timing would of course be for your new supplier to start supplying your gas/electric on the 1st December therefore minimizing the amount of time that you would have to spend on a “standard” read “expensive” tariff. Hopefully the SP rep will confirm that my thinking is correct.0 -
I’ve just noticed this toward the bottom of the SP OES7 extension email
“You've got a choice with us
To make life easier, we're offering to automatically extend your Online Energy Saver 7 (Dec 2011) Offer on 1st December 2010 until 30th November 2011. So if you want your deal extended there's nothing for you to do. If you'd prefer not to accept the extension to your discounted offer and move to our standard monthly Direct Debit prices3 (standard prices detailed here) without incurring a cancellation fee4, give us a call or opt out here before 17th January 2011.”
Now does this mean that I have until the 17th January to decide to go onto their standard tariff? I have just instigated my switch to EDF OSV7 so if I could stay with SP OES7 until the switch happens that would save a few pennies.0 -
EASY!! Just ring them up and tell them you want to change to Energy Saver 11. You can still see the details online if you say you aren't an existing customer. I have just done that and changed from ES7 to 11. The young lady informed me that, regardless of the fact that it isn't shown online to existing customers, if an existing "valued" customer requested it then they couln't refuse. And yes, it is up to 17% cheaper, can be done before the existing ES7 expires and without any penalties.0

I have decided to switch and separate my gas and elect for a year as it looks to be the best for me. SP way too much on gas whereas np are cheaper.
Hopefully this is the right decision.0
