Of course they spell out the deal - they have to but they rely on people not being smart enough to work out they could get it cheaper by taking out separate deals. Or maybe those with maxed out credit cards.

A lot of contract phone deals work out more expensive than getting the phone and air time separately but the margin of overcharge is usually smaller there than the "free laptop" and now it seems "free iPad" offers. Not that I've seen details of the offer of course. If it's a 12 month £10 data contract I'd be tempted myself but I doubt that it is.

Whether or not you call these deals scams depends on your definition of scam of course. They aren't illegal but do prey on the innumerate or just plain stupid of which there are plenty.
  • Irrelevant. it is no scam. No matter how you try and tart up your words these sorts of deals are not scams.. You either need a new dictionary or to be quiet. Plenty of threads have been pulled from this forum because people are falsely saying scam or con. Dont fall into the same trap.

You didn't by any chance take out such a deal did you?

    I have no need to.

Have you defined for me yet where this so called SCAM is then?

You are becoming tedious. Please go and play the troll elsewhere.

Your just not answering the question - Where is the scam? If you cannot prove there is a scam then you should retract your statements.

Ha ha is that all you have - calling me a troll for calling you out over your false accusations..

You're right its no scam, its a rip off. And it is a rip off. If you want to get one like this get one, but dont kid yourself that you'll be paying over the odds for what you get.

Oh im aware its not good value for money,i never said it was. But im a troll for some odd reason so what do i know.

Its only a scam if you aren't aware of what you are actually paying for. A rip off it most certaintly will be. Apparently PC World are about to launch a rental scheme for laptops over 3 years the rip off part of this is that the price you pay over 3 years will be double what you would have paid had you purchased the laptop outright and you will have to return it after the 3 years!!!
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

    iPad now £329 down by £100 :)
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.
