Recomend me a phone ! Please
I have up untill recently been using a Nokia 6310i but with the arrival of my £7.50 Tmobile sim I am looking for a newer phone .
So my wish list in order of priority is as follows:-
Large Screen
Stylus use rather than fingers
Windows or Android ( don't think iphone works with stylus? )
play videos/music with tv out
built in decent gps
So any suggestions please ? doesn't have to be the very latest model .

The only phone that fits all most of your criteria that Iv had experience of is the HTC HD, large touch screen it has a stylus and runs windows mobile 6.1. It does have built in GPS but unfortunately while it does play music and video it doesnt have TV out.
A great all round phone that with a few select programs becomes so much more than just a phone.0 -
I'm using the HTC Wildfire which I love.0

for the stylus part it is the type of screen that matters not the OS the iphone cannot use a traditional stylus and neither can most android and neither can the new windows phone7 phones because they all use capacitive screens, what you need to look for is a resistive screen, the ZTE razor from 3 is android and has a resistive screen but the ZTE blade (orange san fran) is capacitive.
BUT you can ignore all that because there is a way to get any phone regardless of screen and use a stylus. just use a capacitive stylus £4.99 then you can have any phone you want (and it will work on a resistive screen too)0 -
Thanks for the recommendation for the capacitive stylus, jayme1, I did not realise they exist!
I would recommend a N900 to the OP.

(you will need to remove the space as I can't post links yet as I am a noob.)
They seem to be hard to find in the shops now because they seem to be seen as a bit 'techie', but they have a full slide-out qwerty keyboard, resistive screen with stylus, TV out, FM transmitter, 32gb memory (expandable by the biggest card you can get, 16gb or even 32gb, I believe), large screen, built in GPS, multitasking like Microsoft Windows (but more reliable because it's a Lunix OS!), 5mp camera, 4 fully customisable screens that can be filled with widgets and shortcuts if you so wish, etc etc...
The battery isn't wonderful, you're looking at a recharge once a day, but that's not that different to an iPhone (as I understand it) and it has a short recharge time (2 hours usually fills mine up) so it's not really an issue. The OS is called Maemo and it has a whole forum dedicated to it, and it is active with advice and recommendations from other users if you have any problems. I'm very happy with mine. It's better than an iPhone and you don't pay £££ for the label!0 -
Only trouble with Nokia is their sat nav with Ovi maps. If I could get Copilot 8 on a Nokia then I would be fine !0

I have to say I've not really used mine that much! Some people I know are happy with it but I can't really comment from personal experience lol0
