texts not so much talk - deals?

Anyone know the best deal for mobiles which tend to be used primarily for texts rather than calls? Would prefer one that isnt an 'online' deal too - have had problems in past with those.

Orange do 3000 text messages a month, with no minutes for £20 a month. Advertised as a web only offer, but they match them instore if you ask

quite simply, go for a pay as you go o2 sim. 10 pounds monthly topup gets you 300 free txt

Thanks for the advice given...might look into the £10/month O2 SIM deal as i sounds promising - is this with an O2 SHOP, rather than O2 ONLINE tho?
Also, would it involve monthly statements or is it a pure 'pay as you go' type of deal?

My O2 shop told me that they couldn't give me this deal as it was online only. Its a PAYG deal and is available here

I got one a year or so back in an o2 shop in Bath, and saw them in an o2 shop in London recently. Looks like you have to shop around a bit Don't use it anymore, so forgot all about it
