My eBay. Is it okay?

Just remember that even if item don't sell you will need to watch for your ebay bill, don't ignore it. I know that sounds obvious but it is a common misconception that ebay won't charge for unsold items.
Unfortunately as has been said already listing with a start price and a BIN means you have spent a little more on fees than was probably adviseable for second hand clothing.
I assume you have a premier paypal account? If so consider getting a micro one as well as you save paypal fees for sales under £12 (I think it is £12, someone on the ebay board will correct me I'm sure). Obviously it is too late for these auctions as you can;t change your paypal address once you have listed, but if you sell more in future it is worth looking at.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I worked it out, and micro accounts save you money up to £15.
One piece of advice I will give is if items don't sell, look at re-listing as a set. i.e. if you had, say, a green top and black skirt that failed to sell as individual items, put them together as 1 item. When a buyer sees that they go together well, they are more likely to bid. I did this with a food processor and hand mixer, I got more for them as a set than by selling separately.
Also, obtain a set of scales so you can get an accurate postage weight.Never Knowingly Understood.

My first auction just ended. It sold for £3.20. I'll be honest, pretty disapointing. Next time i'll start the bidding at a higher price.

So what happens now? Will the fee's be taken off of the £3.20 I just earned, leave me with such such left? (Don't know how much exactly).:p
Thanks for letting me know about a 'mini pay pal account'. I didn't even know you could get such a thing, sounds better value - cheers!:oToto, I

You have already been charged fees for the 3 sets of listings, 20p a go (15p listing and 5p to add the BIN), so that is 60p. Then you get charged FVFs of 10% on both of yoru sold items. Then when buyer pays via paypal you get another fee charged .
The two lots of ebay fees will come as a bill at the end of the month, the paypal one is charged before you get your payment so you get the net amount.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I disagree about mannequins, especially for the "larger" sizes- people pin clothes to them, tucked in in all the right places and they look great, yet when you receive them you find they're just plain shapeless.0 -
generally by the time you add packaging costs and the ebay and paypal fees you might as well say 20-25% of your money is given to them, but because it is a wider audience it can work to your advantage:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Something rubbish has happened. Where one person was excellent and paid right away, I was able to get her details and dispach the item the very next day. On the other hand, the woman who won my top hasn't completed paying and it won't allow me to view her address. I emailed her saying that I can't post her the item until I have her details and could she please send them to me via email. But she hasn't replied.
I'm afraid incase I get bad feedback for this and since I'm 'new', I really don't want anything negative.
What can I do? The items sitting on the chair in my room waiting to go...Toto, I

was she a fairly new buyer and have much feedback? Some people take upto a week to pay so leave it 5 days then resend the payment form as a reminder I would:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

You won't need her address unless she pays. Don't send the item until she has paid.
I would email her again asking politely if she could pay for the dress/shoes/tin hat- insert whatever she bought as you want to get it posted to her ASAP.0 -
Don't hassle the buyer. My own practice is to send an invoice after auction ends, leave it then for at least 3 days and send the invoice again with a little note saying somehting like 'I am sending this agai in case the first one failed to arrive'. Then on day 4 or 5 I just open a non paying bidder dispute. Once that is open i do not send nay more emails ot buyer.
A lot of buyers pay only after a few days, so don't get too worried by it.
As for the address, as others have already said as you must only send it to the address that paypal give you (ignore anything on ebay) it doesn't matter as once you get paid you get the address that it needs to go to.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
