I always aim to be at least 30mins early for my train if using the tube as a connection..
I also nearly always aim to leave at least 30 mins early for my train, if I can. Though that doesn’t mean the tube your on isn’t delayed.
Luckily I haven’t experienced this, not yet anyway, and that’s why I always check before heading off so I can get to my destination at the time I want to get there. So basically they collect your name and address details then sell you to advertisers. Fair enough, but it would be nice if they didn't make out they were running some kind of Robin Hood operation.
True, but I guess they have to finance their website somehow. Overall it's a free service to users who consent to using it whether they opt in to this or not.
I found this on London Evening Standards webite. Don't know if it's much help though:
Website to help Tube passengers collect refunds0 -
The truth:
"We use information held about you in the following ways:
To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
We may also use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by email.

I have received back over £30 of vouchers in the last 2-3 months and so if they want to advertise other products to me while providing a FREE service then that is OK with me. A Free site has to be funded by some means. Just like the site we are currently posting on has to be funded by some other means as it is FREE but I certainly do not begrudge that because it is providing real benefit.0 -

If you buy a daycard, and one tube is late, how much do you get back?0

but you dont need a site that flogs you other stuff to tell you how you can claim something back. You must know if your train is delayed for 15 minutes surely.one of the famous 50 -

I do know but if you claim through TfL it is such a long form and takes about 10 minutes. Sometimes I also forget to do it. But this website will fill in the form automatically for you once you have registered. It also send you an email to tell you when your line was delayed and if you were on it and delayed by more than 15 minutes to click the link. The whole form is filled in automatically...probably takes about 10 seconds in all. It just makes the whole process very easy.0 -
Re post #17 Nola is right.
This site isn’t necessarily just about showing you how you can claim; it also fills out the lengthy refund form you would normally have to fill out yourself.
The site emails registered users whenever a service they use is delayed or cancelled, asking if you were held up by more than 15 minutes that day.
You then click on a link from the email to the website. From there, you are asked a few questions relating to the journey before the site automatically fills out the claim form and sends it to TfL.
What other website does this for you?
Re post 14# couldn’t agree more.
I kind of object to them selling on my personal details to third parties but this is a small price you have to pay for this service. Unless you’re prepared to fill out the form yourself then this is the only inconvenience you will suffer.
Personally, if I had to I’d choose the inconvenience of them sending me junk rather than having the inconvenience of filling in the lengthy form TfL sends out.0 -
You can be quite often delayed by more than 15 minutes on the tube, its a regular occurence, you just dont seem to realise at times you have been waiting 15 minutes.
Also just to point out there was a fella nicked for falsley claiming so many refunds on tubes he was foundnot to be on so be careful if those thoughts are enetering anyones heads. Came about because a member of LUL staff realised they were sending vouchers to him regularly and he was renewing his monthly oyster with them0 -
