Please note that you can only make a claim when the delay is due to the fault of TfL. e.g. Signal Failure, Late Finish of Engineering Works, Lack of Trains, Faulty Train or problems at the train depot.
- If your tube journey is delayed by more than fifteen minutes due to a fault by TFL, you are legally entitled to a full refund for that journey.
- mytubewasLATE.com has a list of all the late tubes.
- You simply click on the late tubes you were on and we do the rest. You just wait for your refunds to come back!

strange site. Its not often people get delayed for that amount of time but i guess its good to help people claim if they dont know how. Dont like the idea of registering my details either.one of the famous 50

Can I please stick up for the tube. I can't stand them, they are hot, sweaty and crowded at peak times. They suffer from a massive design flaw and the drivers seem to strike every 15 mins despite earning over £38000 a year. On any journey they are the bit that fills me with the most dread.
However in comparison to the Main Line train operating company's they are a godsend. Trains are frequent, there are plenty of staff and they can get you places faster than any other mode of transport.
London Midland = Useless.
South Eastern = Worst than useless.
On any part of any journey I ever take the weak link is alway the main line train operating companys.
Buses are slow but they are cheap. South West Trains wanted to charge over £70 for a first class ticket from London Waterloo to Bournemouth on Friday night. That is a rip off of epic proportions.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -

I can't work out if you are being serious or not?
Nowhere does the post state or imply you have to wait 15 minutes for a tube.
Having said that, some parts of the Metropolitan line only have 2 trains per hour (Chesham — Chalfont & Latimer) and Amersham to Baker Street fast service is only every 15 minutes.0 -

It is not saying that the tube is delayed for 15 minutes...but that your JOURNEY is delayed by 15 minutes. e.g. your line is suspended so you have to take different lines, or you cannot get on a train due to crowding because of a signal failure. This happens about once a week for me that it causes me to be delayed by 15 minutes. I often use this website...they have a good tip: "Measure how long your journey usually takes you. You will then be able to tell on a day with tube delays if you are delayed by over 15 minutes". I now do this and often claim back a refund...£2.70 every time!!!0 -
I was going to more or less going to say what robt & Nola C pointed out though I think they’ve summed it up quite well.
One of the things were this site might come in handy is when/if your running late for a connection. I’ve never had this problem [yet] as I tend to check Transport for London’s website and normally check to see how long it’ll take to get to the connecting station, though that doesn't mean the tube your on won't be delayed.
I’d hate it if I was going up north to visit my parents and missed my connection at Euston. Mind you, would it make a difference trying to claim back the amount it cost to get back from tfl as my main concern would be the amount I spent on trying to get to Warrington?
Before heading off anywhere on public transport I usually check Transport for London Journey Planner as I think this is a good way to gage how long your journey should take. By using this tool you can at least measure how long your journey should take.
Actually, I tell a lie, I have experienced what I’ve mentioned above. I don’t remember where it was I was coming from though I do remember having to get umpteen buses to get home as there were engineering problems of some sort going on.
I had thought about claiming back my journey but didn’t think such an incident at the time would apply for compensation and wasn’t sure if it was worth it, so I didn’t bother in the end.0 -
I can only imagine that if your late for a connection to a MAINLINE train that you just didnt leave in enough time to get there with time to spare. Even using the journey planner it gives you plenty of time to cross london.
I always aim to be at least 30 mins early for my train if using the tube as a connection..one of the famous 50 -

Fairly common. Try commuting from one end of the Metropolitan line to the other at peak time.
Tube map:

you've got delays between the two branches, delays associated with the Jubilee line running alongside, delays (especially) from Baker Street to Liverpool Street where three lines share a track.0 -

" mytubewasLATE.com has been set up by frustrated tube passengers for other tube passengers, to tell them that every time they are delayed by 15 minutes or more they are entitled to their money back. This site will help you earn back the money from TFL that is rightfully yours!!! "
The truth:
"We use information held about you in the following ways:
To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
We may also use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by email.
If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you. If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this.
If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data (the registration form).
We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience. "
So basically they collect your name and address details then sell you to advertisers. Fair enough, but it would be nice if they didn't make out they were running some kind of Robin Hood operation.0
