I too have Ulcerative Colitis...have had it for ten years. I have not been 'right' since being diagnosed. Some days I can't get off the toilet...other days...not as bad but still have to go about four or five times a day. I sympathise with anyone who has bowel disorders. They are really not nice. I also have arthritis in my wrist, knee and foot. My foot is so bad that I can hardly walk some days. My head feels dizzy most of the time. I do not drive...but I know that I would not be able to anyway...my heads all over the place. I also have raynauds disease. Bowel problems affect people differently. Only the person with the condition knows how they feel...please do not make them feel worse. Good Luck to the op.

UC & IBS are two different bowel disorders.

  • I think the OP needs to get a proper diagnosis before he does anything else since he realy has no firm one.
There's no way anyone knows what's going on in there until they have a proper look.
When I was in my 30s I was diagnosed with IBS,just like he was without proper investigation. This went on for two years until I collapsed and ended up in hospital with a haemorrhage in my bowel and further investigation showed ulcers throughout my entire digestive tract and a twisted bowel.
OP please have yourself checked out, afterall at least then you'll know the full story and it will be the start of getting things under control and perhaps will allow you to be able to live a full life.
Good luck, hope you feel better soon.
