By the way, Glow worm brought out the Flexicom range because modern heat exchangers with smaller bores clog more easily: so the Flexicom heat exchanger has larger bores, but is a little less efficient (less than 1%). Just in case you were wondering what the difference is. Glow worm calls this "old plumbing friendly", simply because old radiators and pipes are dirtier. Powerflush can't get everything out.

This is the main reason my plumber recommended it when I asked for another Potterton.

This is the main reason my plumber recommended it when I asked for another Potterton.

I'll certainly consider those then as I live in a very hard water area and everything is always getting furred up!

Opted for a Vaillant in the end. Not a budget boiler but got 5 years warranty and 5 years free servicing so I couldn't say no. Great deal!
