hi there,
does anyone have this kettle/one cup machine?
i'm looking at this over the breville one cup as this one has the full kettle function, in addition to the one cup.
I have seen a few reviews online which seem to be a bit mixed, does anyone here have one, and what do you think of it please?
Thanks in advance

We have this. it's so much easier. Depending on what type of cup / mug you have, the dispenser may dispense too much or not enough water. We put a jug under that bit instead of a cup and just use what we need.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I'm not sure if it's just me; but the water in the jug always comes out so much hotter than the water in the dispenser.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I had hoped I would find these easier as I have trouble lifting a kettle but had two faulty ones before I gave up on them. I, too, found the water wasn't so hot as from a kettle and both developed the fault of not heating the water to more than tepid. I may have just been unlucky though.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

I have the Breville One Cup variable and I think it's great - even hubby & son like it!
The water out of this Breville is boiling when it comes out the spout. A handy feature is the stop function so if you put a smaller cup under the spout than you set it for, when your cup/mug is nearly full just press the button & it stops pouring.
No problems or complaints with it so far.0 -
i am a bit worried now, as i really wanted the one with the kettle as well. i think i'll give it a go, you never know!0

We had the tefal one cup, was a lot cooler than a kettle, and broke lol0

We've had a Tefal Quickcup for years and really like it, especially as I have problems with lifting a kettle. As other posters have said, it doesn't get as hot as a kettle but we haven't found it a problem. The only problem we have is that we are in a very hard water area and we have to de-scale it regularly (i use white vinegar about once a month) otherwise it 'spits' the water out.0

we have the breville one cup too and think its brilliant, the water is definitely hot enough for te and coffee
am thinking of splashing out on the new one with variable cup sizes and holds more waterWhen you know better you do better0
