So blasting my Maglite 2D LED (AKA the hollywood searchlight) at people tailgating me, would be a BAD thing? :o

I saw a 4x4 earlier today and he had 6 large spot lights, 4 mounted on a roof bar and 2 near the bumper plus the car lights making 8 lights in total, what was that all about?

Is that really such a good idea? What if this tit-for-tat lighting warfare causes one or other of you to lose control of the vehicle temporarily?
A friend of mine was warned by the police for having a so called Eff Off light (a switch controlled spotlight mounted on his parcel shelf facing backwards out the rear window to dazzle tailgaters) in the early 80s. Apparently a lot of the boy racer types used to have them.

May explain why my first car (a Blue 998cc 1986 Austin Metro) had a small spotlight or headlamp unit (not wired up) screwed to the parcel shelf next to the after market centre brake lamp...... :rotfl:
