    Oh, you silly sausage Sockdrawer,

I did that last year, now OH won't let me pour stock anywhere. Mind you when he does it he has been known to miss the bowl aswell.

I know lol, but in the process, discovered a fab thread on MSE here full of people who had done similar things, and have spent a post flu recovery day having a hilarious time laughing at it all!

Helloooooooooooooooo! I'm back! Thanks to my wonderful GP who recognised I wasn't so well (I went to see her about something else), 12 hours in hospital with a nebuliser (sp?), 36 hours on antibiotics and I'm feeling good!

Massive hugs frodders, love the the photo pigpen, shysarah - don't let anyone make you feel pahhhh! - it's their problem not yours hun xx, hex - how sweet is your son, LL - lovely to hear from you xxx, JULIEJIM - YEAHHHHHHHH ABOUT PUPPY DOG!!!!!!

Loads more to say but forgotten everything - sorreeeeeeeee!

Slight bump to reality today. Went to a funeral of a wondeful lady who wrote me a letter saying the following (she told me to pass it on to as many people as possible). It's sad so please don't feel you have to read it ....

'I didn't know there was the kindness in the world, I didn't know that so many people cared. More than anything I didn't know that the symptoms I didn't have were ovarian cancer. Thank you Lxxx for your treatments. You made me feel human again. If you can do one thing for me, tell everyone of your clients, everyone of your friends, to look out for my symptoms of my disease. It is silent. Please look at http://www.cancerhelp.org.uk/type/ovarian-cancer/about/ovarian-cancer-symptoms . Tell your friends about it. If you feel it's you then see your doctor. Let's hope you're wrong and ARE wasting their time. Love always xx'

Sorry, felt it was right to share xx

Triker - Hope your DD is better soon, ouch ouch ouch not nice! So feel for you with the work thing, you do your job because you enjoy it but so many cutbacks and such tension I know many passionate people who aren't getting that enjoyment at the moment :( they just binned the natural allies scheme here, devastating but Cumbria sounds much much worse. 611 job losses, doesn't seem like their future plans include services for disabled children - my friends there are livid
juliejim YAY!!!! I shall leave that in bold!
froddy I was thinking about you today x
piggers you must bind those children and stop them growing up so fast, stunning young ladies however, wow
Mudders !!!!!! what are you like! Hope you're feeling much better, take it easy x Oh and I've just cried reading that, wow :( to leave a lasting message I will certainly pass on
Hex awww they make you melt sometimes don't they. I know what he means by how much Harry Potter lego is tho, DS2 wants them too ....EEK! With you on the land rover doesn't defrost thing. I used to get home after a 10 mile round trip to school and the engine was still cold, some of it's to do with how the fan works of course lol
That is a shame kazwookie, please do let us know when positive vibes are needed x
    jenagain hope you are ok

Well it snowed, stopped, snowed more, wish it'd bogger off! So Durham has, some sporadic snow....

Ended up busy all afternoon but enjoyable. Took cheques to 2 charities from fundraisers and made people cry :D not a bad cry, a happy one. Nice to be able to make a difference sometimes. I went to the bank, got more stop smoking pills, dragged DP to stop smoking clinic who is now trying inhalatorywotsits. I've made dinner, healthy fajitas. Did some more washing/drying. Tomorrow is another day off so lets see what happens :rotfl: my swimming group on evening which may be cancelled. If the staff were paid we'd definately run but I think it's unfair to make any volunteers to take unreasonable risks. Will see what the roads etc are like.

I MUST REMEMBER TO GET THE SHOVELS FROM THE SHED TOMORROW - embarrassing borrowing one from a neighbour to dig your shed open to get your own out....

Best get to bed, still need to be awake at 5.45am to find out if DP is working from then or not. Night night all x x
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Dippypud No problem honey... I have been rolling around since I found it, and even added my own story! Please pass the tenalady x
Mudders Thank you for sharing that. Sad, but lovely she wanted to help other people "unto her last" Also glad your GP spotted you were not well. <<hugs>>
Lil_me Well done on the being a non smoker front!!! Hope DP manages. It's such a weight round your neck that you don't actually need. (the smoking that is.. not DP)
Also fed up about disabled kids.....change in budgets.... Pouf..... suddenly they don't exist!!! Oh, or if your OH happens to have risked his life for his country and he has an RAF pension and it's a wee bit on the high side because what he was doing was dangerous.... oh.... Pouf... suddenly you don't exist either- The experience my sister is going through just now. Aaaargh. Her daughter/my niece has a life expectancy of 12 yo. You just start thinking they're ignoring her hoping she'll die off.....

Sockdrawer, disabled kids have it no better once they're grown.

DS1 has Aspergers, at school, diagnosed aged 8.
Secondary school, great, statemented, classroom support.
Leave school, wants to go to uni, collage etc. Local education authority says not educationaly disabled enough.

I say you've had the funding for him for 10 yrs, what happened.
