Two tyres. Dangerous to have mismatched tread depths on the same axle.
This applies regardless of whether you claim or not.
Youve been to kwik fit too often i think. Tyres dont always wear evenly. Lots of factors will vary tyre wear, Do you load the left & right sides evenly? Drive in the middle of the road to avoid the camber?
Do you change your tyres every few days just in case?

No, but I do rotate them every so often.
Haven't been to kwik fit in a long long time.
Obviously it depends on the age of the tyres too. If he'd only bought new ones a week ago then I'd just replace the one.0 -
I believe tyres should be matched but I think the OP would be doing well if they get the price of one.;)0
