Poundland, think you should have one near you failing which there is a Poundland in Swansea (South Wales)
If not or you would prefer somewhere else then Tesco do cheap Anti-Freeze0 -
Depends on the car and the type of antifreeze as well.0

Whats the difference between the colours? I just buy whatever is cheapest when I need some? When I bought my car it was pink, and admittedly I havent had it dropped and changed just added roughly 200ml to it over 3 years, it has now gone to blue...0

Antifreeze does much more then stops the coolant freezing it lubricates, stops the block and other parts corroding, protects seals and gaskets. Keeps water galleries clear. Manufactures use different antifreezes to suit the components in their engines cooling system.0 -

Exactly, something many folks forget. Skimp the AF and you can gaurantee the core plugs will rot out within 5 years, and I'll give 10 to 1 against that the bugar behind the flywheel goes 1st;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I think they make them ones a little lighter gauge just for that reason;);)0 -
Antifreeze will deteriorate over time...
The Red basically lasts longer than the blue 5years over 2.. Although someone here reckons they had 10 or 20year Antifreeze.... I've personally never seen it and can't work out why you'd want that when routine maintenace i.e water pump or coolant system flush would see it all run down the floor anyway:D.
Red and blue aren't always mixable and if mixed they can congeal... For what it costs I cant undestand anyone not draining and flushing the lot out.0 -

If somebody made tyre's that cost £25 each, were rock solid, lasted for 2 million miles, had no grip, but were guaranteed to always pass the MOT.... We brits would go out of our way to buy them.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I think the costs of driving to Swansea from North Wales may just outweigh the savings from buying in Poundland
As other have mentioned, be sure to get a compatible type. Tesco do one that's compatible with both if you are unsure, but it's not so cheap.
On an unrelated note, my car has green antifreeze in it, a colour that's a darker shade of those green Mountain Dew energy drink bottles that have started showing up in petrol stations. Anyone know what type of antifreeze that is?0
