What is Blackberry messenger?
The reason I ask is that my daughter is on the following contract with Virgin:-
unlimited texts(3000)
unlimited virgin to virgin minutes(3000)
200 minutes
unlimited web access(1gb)
on a £10 30 day rolling contract.
Now if she was to purchase a Blackberry outright, insert the sim card for the above contract, would she then have access to all the Blackberry features ie. Blackberry messenger, Blackbery e mail? etc.
Thanks in anticipation.

Blackberry Messenger is a Blackberry-to-Blackberry messaging service, it's free so long as both parties have the internet in their plan (and theyre on a blackberry plan).
The plan you mention wouldn't allow BBM - in fact there's a good chance the internet wouldn't work full stop. The reason for this is that Blackberrys are unique in they forward all their web data through Blackberry's own servers in Canada, and if youre not paying as part of your plan for Blackberry-specific internet, it's no access for you - even if youve got a plan that includes internet.0 -
If she wants to change network, both Voda and T-Mobile are doing free BB add-ons on their PAYG sims, how much you top up is up to you.0

I havent got BIS on my plan but can use the internet through a third party browser called Opera Mini. As you say no BB Messenger though.0 -
