I have my Amiga 1200 set up in the spare room on a prtable TV. Unfortunately a couple of keys no longer work so I cant do a soft reset anymore. I have one of those Compact Flash cards that plug into the PCMICA slot and load games from that to play.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0

he must be around my age, and I'm NOT and old man
elite on the BBC B was a game I'll never forget, I did download it on the PC a few years ago (freeware) but it wasn't the same....Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
Still get goosebumps every time I hear the blue danube after spending many many hours mastering the knack of docking without crashing until I had saved up enough for an autodock computer.
Fantastic game and probably up there with Premier Manager 3, WOW (online) and the Civilisation (3 was my preferred option) series for most hours spent blissfuly in front of the computer.
If you want to lose your hubbie for a few months buy it for him.
Until reading the posts below I was sure I played this on my PC but maybe it was the Amiga - Will ask my dad - he will remember the hours of moaning he put in about my lack of morals in choosing to deal in narcotics, slaves, and guns - He said he raised me better than that and he didnt care that I was now 'deadly'.
I know what I will be downloading tonight.0 -
Just spoke to the old man and he reckons I played it on the BBC, the amiga, and also the PC. He said the PC was a colour version and have just had a look on wikipedia and reckon I was playing frontier elite on the PC. It may be easier to just get him the PC version - was pretty playable and still getting on for 20 years old so lovely and retro.0

No Hubert! The Amiga stays where she is ! Until we move a child out the only place she could live is on the dining room table and I have no intention of eating my Xmas Lunch on a keyboard!
Am showing this thread to the old one and going shopping with my daughter! I'm sure that by the time we get back he will be commanding his fleet and I will never get to hunt bargains again!!
Thanks for all your help guys.
