Are we able to change our mobile numbers - any advice?
I have a contract for my daughter, but she wanted a new phone. I was uanble to upgrade so I took on another contract. So now I have 2 for her (she still manages to go over??).
Anyway, I have just found out that my husbands contract has finished and I suggested that he have one of Charlottes sims.
The problem is we don't want unwanted texts and calls that were really meant for Charlotte so we wondered if the mobile phone co would agree to change the number.
Thanks

you want an existing contract changed to your husbands mobile number?
if so then no i doubt iy0 -
You cannot swap and change in contract numbers and you would be unable to change your Daughters number to your Husbands number.
You may however, be able to change the number to a random number of the system in the same way as you would if you were receiving unwanted phone calls.
There would most likely be a charge but if you had a word with your provider, they would be able to help.
If you did decide on a number change, you would need to make sure your Husbands contract is cancelled or it will continue rolling over and be charged.0 -
Thank you.
My husbands contract can be cancelled now. The older one of the two I have for my daughter has about a year to go. I just want to change to a random number so we dont get her calls and texts!!ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -

Depending on the network they might let you port the number in too, a lot insist on it being done straight away, but others will allow you to do it at any point in your contract.0 -
A complete answer can only be given if you say who the provider of the contract is.
Most providers will allow you to change number, but there may be a fee. And many will allow you to port your husbands number in.0 -
Call your provider and inform them that you called last week and reported some nuisance calls. You were offered a free number change but you were unsure, now you wish to go ahead. I tried it a few times.0

Most suppliers will allow you to change your number their may be an admin fee. Orange charge £10 for a basic number.
