Would not advise this, if a seller turned up at my door with a item without prior arrangement I would not be a happy bunny! A buyer turned up at my home a week or 2 back after purchasing a item off my OH, he then got our details off the listing (OH is a business seller) and arrived my my door at 11am one morning, so he could collect his items, they cost him £9 and had free delivery anyway!! I was not happy. I would be less happy if it were a seller turning up, whos to say the buyer would have money on them, if they dont what would you do, drive them to a cash machine? Nah, dont do that! Email then, if no reply open a NPD on day 4, if they dont pay then you get your fees back and can re-list, they do pay and collect then great.
If it came to that, and if the item was significant enough, yes, I'd make an effort to get them to a bank or a cashpoint so they could pay me. Job done. I'm sure that it's worth it to both buyer and seller and at least being able to talk to them in person would get things moving. Obviously I wouldn't go first thing in the morning or last thing at night, but if you've bought something, then I'm surprised you would resent me asking for payment for it? Likewise, if you sell something, you want to get rid of it and get the money ASAP. Having to relist it would make me more resentful than chasing up the buyer in the first place or trying to faciliate a good sale.

I'd try by email and/or phone first, but since I'm the one with an interest in getting paid, I should expect to do some of the work to get the thing moved.

If they were local and I knew them then I'd be able to sort it out amicably. I suppose I'm thinking of a village like mine where people generally know each other quite well. It's different in different places.

If I didn't, then it would be more awkward, but in general going through the NPB process as opposed to getting paid because you can't be bothered to at least try and get the wheels moving on a sale is a bit futile. You'll just end up getting more and more resentful of people whom you can't be bothered to chase up.

The OP's best course of action if they don't know the person is still an NPB dispute, but quite often when selling something you have to be aware that it might take some work to get it shifted and the money would be an incentive to get it sold. Inflexibility - which is not the case in this situation - is a large opportunity cost.
