Hugs to MG, her Mum and anyone who needs them. Had a lovely few days away for New Year with my brother. My SIL and all their Grandchildren were full of coughs and colds and guess what I've now come down with it! Have only just started to feel better from bronchitis that I had at beginning of December:mad:

Christmas decorations down yesterday:jand now I can finally get my house sorted out again and back to my standard.

I got an interesting book for Christmas: The Thrift Book by India Knight - MSE gets a regular mention, but she lists quite useful websites.

Put the first load(for weeks) of washing out on the line before I went to work and most go and get it now as it looks like snow:eek:
    Love to all.

Its a brilliant book... she suggest two books which i have bought and love to bits... one is about Sewing... name escapes me, and one called Kitchen Revolution which I can't praise highly enough. Blinking marvellous. It was expensive, but sooooo worth it!

Positive vibes to all. Glad Mg's mum doesn't have meningitis and here's to a diagnosis soon.

I loved The Thrift Book too ladies. Got it from the library as I'm too [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] frugal to buy books unless I have a voucher :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Talking of frugal the universe was on my side tonight ladies. Had a hellish customer at work and was feeling the stress levels rising. Was thinking 'Aargh what can I do as I'm on my diet now and can't have wine or a big load of cheese  so was thinking about buying a mag to relax in the bath with. Went to Tesco and just kept thinking '£3.80, I'm not!' so wandered home and lo and behold my TWO magazine subscriptions I got for Xmas had started and were on the mat along with TWO DVD's from Lovefilm!!!!!!!! Thinking that's the universe telling me to chill out and all will be well.

Tonight I will take one of them into the bath with some chillout music on and one of my Xmas White Company candles lit and be super calm.

Cricket: Thanks for that will have a look out for it. Was certainly impressed with Thrift Book.

Have got my kitchen all sparkly clean and spent ages polishing and cleaning the lovely old fashioned scales I was given by the late old lady. Had to move the kitchen round to accomodate them:rotfl::rotfl:
Souk: There's definately a message there!

The Universe has answered my prayers - son and heir has got a job starting on 17th. He's been sick/unemployed for a year!:jThank you Universe.

  • That is super news Robsmum. Well done that young man :j.

Sending positive vibes and hugs to all and well done to SouK for being :money:. What a lovely reward from the universe.

Shred - hmmnn, I bought Shred as part of my last 50-day challenge and did it twice :o (oooh I was so sore). In my defence this was right before I got poorly for two weeks and then went down with proper 'flu a week after that. Now that we are back to normal, I can hear it calling from the cupboard - "yoohoo, I'm here, I won't do you any good stuck here in this cupboard" :rotfl:

Tomorrow could be the day :D

Please start it again, we can console each other in our soreness and swap tales of how badly our legs ache :hello:

I did shred - it DOES get easier! (but I didn't do it every day - just every 2 or 3 days - you won't lose weight or anything as quickly as it says, but it makes it easier on the old body!) Don't be scared of following the easier woman until you get the hang of it :D
  • Morning all; sending buckets of positivity to all the Matrix and especially MG and her Mum.

I have GOT to try and make time for myself tonight. Although Hubby is ill and I am cutting him some slack, he was so bloody annoying last night he did well to do to bed without a carving knife in his back. Every time I sat myself down to have a breather it was, in a deeply unattractive bleating kind of way, "Could I have..." or "Could you just fetch me..." He kept me running right up until bed time and I was too tired to have a bath. Just sank into bed and then ignored his wails of "I really need a drink of water". Mhmmmm. He was still alive this morning, so he must have got up and got it himself. :(:(:(

Hmmm, might need to read "The Secret" again. Indeed, that sounds a jolly good idea. So after I have done the supermarket run for the week and put it all away and tidied the fridge and the kitchen and made dinner and cleared away from dinner and fed the cats and made a Biiiiig pot of tea... then I will sit down and read the Secret. Or I might just go to bed... because I am shattered already and it is only 8.44am!!!

Oh Crickett, you poor thing! It does indeed sound deeply unattractive, but your own spirit sounds in full flow, which is brilliant. Hope you're sitting somewhere nice reading The Secret right now.
