    Morning all.

MG I hope you mum is better soon, and they can find out what's wrong.

Hope everyone else has a good day - it's a busy one here!
  • Mornin' Matrix

All systems go here at Thrifty Towers. Thanks for the update Firewalker. Sending positive vibes for a calm day today MG.
  • Positive vibes heading for MG's Mum... glad its not meningitis... and good news re the burst pipe.

I have a very poorly hubby at home. He has the bronchial bug that is going around at the moment. I know its bad, because I didn't have to persuade him to stay home from work today! Plus, I have a really massively busy and not a little stressful day at work today. Oh, and I am shattered as well, because I was sleeping in the spare bed last night and not really sleeping properly, if you know what i mean. Oh well... keep on going is the motto for today!! :)

Good luck to one and all for today.

Oooh dear, Crickett sometimes life seems to conspire to send you stress in great big packages - I'm not sure the Secret would agree, but that's how it seems to me!!

Hope your hubby makes a quick recovery. You need to be extra kind to yourself just now. Hope the day goes as smoothly as possible and maybe when you get home you can find a bit of 'me time' - a glass of wine and a soak in a warm scented bath or whatever works for you.

Have a hug Crickett and lots of calming positive vibes for you too. Some get well ones for your Hubby while we're at it. Lots of nasty virus' at the moment (have one I can't shift at the moment).

Right first day of normality here so I have done a load of washing, given downstairs a thorough vac and mopped all the floors. I can't remember the last time I did that :o So backs aching and I feel tired, glands are up and ear keeps popping due to congestion BUT the main thing is I feel productive and feel a little bit better about the downstairs living space :D I have come to the conlusion that my sanity is directly linked the state of the house :o Didn't bother me when I was working out of the house 3 days a week but now I've been home for the past 3 years (goodness I can't believe it's been that long ) it does play on my mind.
DD starts pre school on Friday :( She seems so little but if I am honest I am not quite ready to let her go :o She's my youngest, probably not likely to have any more and she's growing up far too quick. I am sure she'll love it but I think unlike when DS went I shall be having a secret sob when I get home :o

Will sort out lunch in a mo and then need to start on cutting up my Christmas cards for gift labels :money:
Have a good day everyone. Sending lots of positive vibes to all that need them.

A belated happy new year to everybody. Just arrived back from holidays and another few days off work so lots of sorting to be done over the next few days.
MG - glad to hear that your mum doesn't have meningitis and I hope that they resolve the mystery soon and that she is improving.

Hope Claire is now sorted with the cable. - Isnt it grand having people miss other people?

Now don't laugh everybody but for Christmas I bought DD2 The Shred (she had said that maybe she should do an exercise DVD) and in retaliation for such a bad Christmas present she dragged me out of bed and made me do it with her yesterday morning. By evening we were having difficulty walking up the stairs. This morning she was strangely quiet & I had to drag her out of bed & we only had time for about 10 minutes of it (time, energy and ability).
I have told her that once started there is no going back, she said all the best people quit while they're ahead, I said that we are not ahead, in fact we are so far behind they will be sending out search parties for us. I know other people on here have done it, Cheery Daffs for one & I want to know a few things. Firstly does it matter if you don't do it every day? In fact I thought you should give your muscles chance to recover now and then. Secondly and most importantly DOES IT REALLY WORK? And DOES IT REALLY GET EASIER?
Actually just tell me yes to the last two whether it is true or not and I will keep going with blind faith and illusions intact.
  • YES and YES but I haven't done it :) Hypno is the Shred lady and lots of people on her thread have done it.

  • Thank you Matrix peeps for your good wishes. :T

I am currently suriving the day on massive doses of Earl Grey Tea and adrenalin. I will make it through to 4pm when I get to go home by hook, crook or more tea, and then I will need to keep the energy levels up to look after hubby, cook dinner, do the chores for tonight, etc. That shouldn't be too hard, but I think it is going to be another early night chez Crickett... last night we were up until 9pm... but then couldn't keep our eyes open any longer! Wooo... glamorous living huh?! :rotfl:

What is kind of annoying is that I wanted to go to the pool and the gym tonight, but I have so much to do at home, that I just haven't got the time. Usually I could do it, because I could rely on hubby doing stuff in the house for me so all I had to do when I got home was sink onto the sofa.. but with him being hors de combat, it just ain't going to happen. Grrrr. I think I will have a bath though... I have some Champney's relaxing smellies which I was given by a friend for Christmas... and I might indulge in them this evening! :D
