I've never owned a book with a built-in light and have never used a book light. If it's dark and I want to read, I turn a lamp on. I realise this makes me odd.

It makes you a hopeless Kindle Killjoy.

What about this little beauty... Boffins at The Register have put it through its paces, and it has won their top 5* accolade...

Highly recommended and a steal at just £19.95

Just ordered myself a fake purple leather cover which was the only one I found with the clip on the left. Thank you so very much. Phew! That was close!

What about a hand-knitted Kindle case.. just £1.99 delivered (from a famous auction website)

For those who do a bit of kindling under the duvet, there's a matching hot water bottle cover in the very same style. Pure class..

My wife was looking at the lights, bought one for 2.99 on the bay.

SO I then went and got her an almost identical light from a pound shop.

It does just the job athat the more expensive ones do.

As for the cover this seems to work well, although she got hers for 4.99.

There is a tuff luv case thats very expensive with he equivalent of a rubber band on, well if you buy a cheaper case off the bay and put a rubber band around it you get the same result.

While I am all for protecting your expensive purchase - IMO its a wee bit OTT to spend £50 on a case for it.

If you do buy a hard case, make sure the front cover can be folded completely back to the rear and that it has a hard front that will protect the screen. Oh i has to look cute sexy too :D

Thanks for that. You have put precisely what I was thinking. This is the one I have ordered.

Oh dear..... she has that one too and does not like it because the cover does not stay folded back - so she showed me the expensive ones
and I simply got an elastic band and put it on her one and it did the same job lol

Although most of the time she does not use it because it makes it heavier (another reason not to spend a lot).

Thanks for that. Ah well. It was the only one I could see with the clip on the right side. Will definitely try the elastic band tip!!

I love this forum! Where else can you find out wee gems like these that make a difference?

I was talking to she who must be obeyed tonight.... She says the one I linked to is better because it is not as hard to hold as it folds back verticaly rather than sideways. It also stands up in bed so she can lie there reading lol.
It never comes out of it now.

But never mind - try the one you have ordered IMO a cover is a cover lol.

& if you need a light then the cheap ones do he same job quite well.

Oh - she got a skin for it too because she thought it looked better (nut just dull grey).
    Enjoy...
