Oh where do I start??
- Packing trees in December on the top of the Yorkshire Moors - outside! Temperatures during the day -1 to +2 degrees (plus wind chill factor)
- Working on a well-known scourer production line having never done anything like that before. After 5 minutes I was surrounded with boxes. The first morning they had to shut the line 5 times. Then the repetitive action (ooerr missus) sprained my shoulder muscles so badly that I could feel it for years afterwards. (no time off either)
- Same employer (above) putting the tops on talcum powder tins. That was it. All day. Every day.
Didn't I just love being a student in the holidays!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
...picking green crisps off the conveyor belt and putting them into a black sack ALL NIGHT! Kept a set of clothes just for this job as the smell of the oil never came out.0
