Ok where i stay the street is divided into two halfs top and bottom. the botton half had all the houses knocked down our post was reliable then, but ever since the "posh private" got built in place of old council ones, we get no mail untill like 2pm sometimes from a royal mail staff who just doing an extra run.

Where as the private houses down the bottom get the post woman we use to get and post is earlier which seems unfair the houses we stay in have been here for like 70 odd years so i am wondering what to do as its kinda annoyed me that this has happend.

    seriously? where to start
"staff are doing an extra run"
straight away that tells me theres an issue with staffing in the office
" we get no mail untill like 2pm"
aaaaannnnnddd? do people still not get this?
staff start at 6am(some later) and finish at 2pm on an average 8 hour day(some offices run 10 hour days)
so strangely enough, people get mil at the end of the sift.
houses have been there 70 years? whoopdeedoo.has RM not changed in this time?
things change, duties change etc .folks have a rude awakening coming as the next round of changes will blow your socks off if getting post at 2pm is a hardship.

    so on a positive note.
go speak to the delivery office and ask what the deal is.
i see you are in the north, not in Dundee by any chance?

It would seem to be the same all over I believe they are reorganising.

The routes in my area have just been reorganised and delivery now seems to be anytime after 1 pm. Speaking to the postman they have lengthened the routes and where as there used to be 5 routes in the area its now 4. They have even given the postmen those little trolleys to push around. Health and Safety again!

Its no great problem what time the mail gets here it is just habit to expect it first thing. The only problem I have is my usual postman has moved to another route so I have to keep reminding the new one that I have a opt out for the junk mail they dump on us.

no, dundee is on the east coast, ayrshire is the west, I am in Dundee and yes, the new working practice is horrendus:mad:. I seem to have post every other day, and parcels taking at least a week from dispatch to get to me. Had to start getting parcels delivered to my MIL house on the other side, but it will not be long before it goes the same way. there was admittance by a union member in the local paper that there are problems but state the problems are affecting the bigger RM sorting offices rather than the smaller ones

People in Posh Houses should be castrated, is that what OP actually meant with their post?

My Grandfather started his round in Alford at 4 am, never delivered a letter after 9 am, unless it was in the second post

Today we have so many lazy peoples not living in posh houses, they cannot get the wet nurse to get them up?

the union has sold its soul.
it is pumping out the same RM propaganda as RM
the reason large packets fail under park and loop(the 'way forward' system')
RM think that well a postie is going to a door so may as well take all the packages and mail in one go.
    makes sense on paper
however they dont key in enough time to complete the duty with the packages etc
if a packet is too large to carry in the red bag then you need ot make a specific trip in the van to deliver it.
so the large packets are left to try and get the mail delivered

ps,it was early and i just saw north :o

those trolleys are great,in theory(see a pattern here?)
but slow down the delivery and raise security concerns with stairs, flats etc
very few deliveries exist in the UK where you can take the trolley up to every door

No thats you twisting words to what you think I should have said. Where as I ment why does a new build of houses get priority over ones that are already here before them.

Plus half the people in them houses are to there eye balls in debt, just to stay in cheaply built houses - No Thank You.

    it doesnt work that way
infact the poshest street in my old office gets some of the worst service
large gates on the entrances,5 houses in the grounds of an old mansion type house split in 3
yet often gets its delivery the latest because its on a duty that gets lapsed
