Because if enough people complain to the landowner (ie Asda), they might see sense in sacking the PPC they have employed, or changing the time limit.

Total damages for parking slightly longer in a free car-park is zero.

Send your email to all of the following addresses :

    andy.clarke@asda.co.uk
    andrew.clarke@asda.co.uk
    aclarke@asda.co.uk

There's a good chance one of them will work and you've managed to get right to the top of Asda in this country ! ;)

This sort of complaint does get results sometimes. I have heard of at least one Tesco store getting rid of a PPC. Only a week or so the owners of a retail park in Oldham sacked our old friend UKCPS for "aggressive ticketing and harassment" of the park's customers.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

On another thread I posted about a ticket my girlfriend got at Homebase earlier this year and how I'd contacted one of the Homebase Directors pointing out how corrupt G24 are etc etc. I've also posted anti-Homebase comments on lots of forums and local newspaper sites. Strangely that store is now believed to be closing - while it probably wasn't as a result of me - I'm still going to take the credit for closing down a PPC scheme :D

I doubt whether the £60 will find its way back to ASDA. If it did there would be nothing in it for the scammers and they would be soon out of business(If only!). Take the advice given and ignore them.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • Thanks for all the responses.

What bothers me most with all of this is how many disabled pensioners are
forgetting to show their blue badges and automatically paying these 'fines'?
They're vulnerable and are being preyed on - it's all well and good forums
like this spreading the word but how many 80+ year olds will find this
information? It's the time of life when our memories fail so there must be a
great deal of profit in this corner of the market for supermarkets like ASDA.
It's very easy to forget to display these badges - many disabled people
don't get out very often so displaying them doesn't become habitual.
ASDA and other supermarkets could be taking a great deal of money from
the disabled nationwide with this scam.

There is a charity called Mobilise that is supposed to look after the interests of disabled drivers. Unfortunately this charity has teamed up with a couple of private parking companies. So, instead of helping motorists in cases such as this, they are told by Mobilise that this is an "expensive mistake" and that they should pay up. If you "appeal" to the parking company you are offered a discount on the "fine" if you join Mobilise. So an unholy alliance.

  • I am a law abiding citizen and respect the disabled parking schemes however. Although I would certainly seek an alternative spot if there only a couple of disabled bays, on the occasion I received a ticket there were in excess of 35 disabled spaces. I am 52 years old and suffer from severe pain in my left leg which has not been diagnosed yet although I await results from a hip x-ray. I was in the store for no more than 10 minutes and will never use it again if I am forced to pay a fine. This smacks of a get rich quick scheme and if there are warnings they are certainly not "high visibility". Can they enforce this nonsense?

No they cannot, so just ignore them utterly together with the debt collectors, they will not take you to court, they never do, enjoy your money, and wish you the best with your scans
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

There is no fine so you need paying nothing at all.

If your morals allow you to park in a disabled space then that is okay.
