Override providers via VOIP

If this has been covered please just direct me, I don't want to further duplication.
The short:
I'm looking for a VOIP provider that can call override providers very cheaply.
The long:
Basically, my girlfriend lives abroad in Trinidad and as such our relationship is built on phone calls. Being a tiny country, it never features in those "20 country" deals all the VOIP and fixed-line providers big up. Cheapest way of calling is via override numbers (call a no. first then the intended destination) at 3p a minute to a landline by 0844calls and 4p by Bestminutes to a mobile. Not bad but the cumulative cost is considerable. Any saving would really add up. Furthermore, there's a catch....I don't have a landline. I use VOIP. Tesco internet phone allows me to call the 08**** (often 0844) numbers of override providers but their rates have now crept to 4p and 4.8p respectively, i.e. they allow me to call the numbers but don't charge the price listed by those providers (the prices only being guaranteed for BT). Are there other VOIP providers that allow you to call 08*** numbers? Most don't. Can they even do it cheaper than the advertised landline pricing?
Oh and her using VOIP is not an option as home internet there is very, very expensive.
Basically I'm trying to get the cheapest call providers with the cheapest phone providers. A vain ambition perhaps...
Many thanks, Phil.
In response to mrJ: I'm with Telewest so my broadband is via cable.

I do not see how you can use VoIP without a landline... unless your use cable for broadband, as any bt based broadband package requires a landline
I would say 3p a minute is a good rate via a uk number, since it costs 8.4p ish via Skype to call Trinadad
maybe your best bet would be to signup to a Trinadad VoIP provider, or one that operates in the country.... as the call rates would normally be cheaper, although I could be wrong...0 -
Hi
If you want to call T&T via override, then this will give you cheap numbers to call (from 3p per minute)
http://www.niftylist.co.uk/calls/to/trinidad-tobago/landline/
If you want to call by calling card, then this website is one of the best for worldwide calls. One of their cards cost £5.10 and allow you to make 160 mins of calls to T&T...you pay online via credit card, your freefone access number and pin is delivered by email:
http://www.digicallingcards.com/card_search.php?for=cardsearch&fromcountry=UK&todestination=263&search_button.x=64&search_button.y=8
Hope this helps
