You'll receive a £25 statement credit just for using your American Express® Card. It couldn't be easier, just follow these three simple steps:

1. Register your Card details before 31 December 2010
2. Use your American Express Card for at least one purchase at eight of the places listed below between 8 November and 31 December 2010
3. Receive a £25 statement credit automatically awarded to your account

Where did you get the invitation, as it says you need to fill in the number on your invite so may not be for all amex card holders. Tks

Nice. These are VERY limited deals - targetted to those who don't already shop in the places listed. Good news if you actually want to buy something from them. Not so good if you go and buy a £100 elephant foot umbrella stand just for the £25.

The invitation is sent by Amex directly..last week I also get an invitation to register to get 1000 Tesco Clubcard points for making 2 purchases of at least £30 in Tesco in November.

I had that one too. Might not get to use it though.

I also had £10 off a £60 spend a Morrisons.

Stuz, I have had both of these deals through too - got the one which opens this thread today. Now I know which places to go for a cuppa in between shopping! Not sure I'll be doing the Tesco deal, simply because I don't have a car and Tesco is too far. Doing the Morrisons £40pw shop instead.

What is the minimum amount you can spend to use AMEX- is it £5 ?-which would mean £40 minimum spend -or can you do less? or does it depend on the retailer?

Its the T&C's which have confused me. "On receiving your £25 statement credit your account will be deducted the equivalent value of rewards relevant to the statement credit."

They're probably one size fits all t&cs and probably refer to rewards cards - eg airmiles, etc. They'll treat the £25 credit as a refund and take back the airmiles (or whatever) you earned for that spend.

If you don't have rewards, it won't make any difference.

I am not aware of any minimum spend with Amex. For instance, If you buy some paracetamol tablets for 16p @ Boots..this should qualify for one of the spend..you get the idea:money:

I hope so, because as far as I'm concerned I've already met the criteria by spending at 8 of the places, and all bar one of those transactions was less than £1!

Will have to wait and see what happens on my statement next month...
