Consider the Kia Picanto as it has a 7 year warranty, or the Hyundai i20 maybe if you don't like the i10? All Hyundais come with a 5 year warranty, so IMO kias and hyundais are much better value than a panda.

Don't go on a long journey in a Hyundai i10 - the seats are terrible.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Unfortunately, they cannot be purchased for the same money as the present Fiat Panda, ( it is going to be replaced by a new model very soon ).

Another very under rated cheap car is the Proton Savvy.

groan.I had just got round to the idea of a fiat panda..and you tell me its going to be discontinued soon.I would have been happy with another Atoz but that was discontinued x2 years after purchase, replaced by the Amica which was similar in design .but that was discontinued about 4 years ago.I want to hang on to my car until MOT/TAX runs out in july as hopefully I only have to consider fuel costs until then.
I know when they discontinued the Atoz they were clearing them at £4995. so the Panda replacement will probably jump up in price too.

Almost certainly, the new replacement Fiat Panda is the only reason that they are selling off the present ones for £5995, or possibly even less.

It doesn't make any difference to the actual car, I wouldn't worry about it.

Remember VAT is going up in January.

Be wary about cheap initial offers, my sisters Kia (granted people carrier) needs work done to it and so far the parts are the killer as it was OOW.

    I found this article:-

Its common news now that the Panda will be replaced next year with an all new model. The range will have modern engines that meet euro 5 emission regulations. Its almost certain that the production will move from Poland to Italy this time. However what I find surprising is that as of yet nobody has any real idea what the next Panda will look like. There has only been some pictures of a test mule but that was a long time ago. No prototype has been shown at any of the major shows either. There is a very good photo shop Panda image online that is a cross between a Panda and a 500. I think this is very likely to happen and the Panda will get a more modern rounded 500 face, not sure if I like the idea though. Next year is rapidly approaching and surely Fiat already have the new Panda plans ready to rock and roll once the plant is made ready. I was going to wait until the new Panda was released but the deal I was offered was too good to be refused. I have 4 years credit on my 100HP and in 4 years time the new 100HP (if there is going to be one) should hopefully be out. I then have to decide if I want it, or keep the one I have or maybe even get an Abarth.

That'll be the end of reliability then...
