Youtube being unreliable?

Options
I've had a few issues with Youtube over the last day. It's been waiting a long time and says "waiting to connect to s.ytimg.com" a lot.
I downloaded the latest Flash player and it seemed to imrpove things a bit.
It's been working on and off over the last hour.
About half the time pages just sit there waiting and then display with incorrect formating.

Is it just me or is it their servers?

Quick poll of people on facebook says, yes, it's me.
My suspicions now turn to Firefox and the latest version of hotmail - it keeps throwing up "this script is not responding" errors and has done so for the last day or two. Since I'm running tabbed browsing maybe that's slowing the whole thing down.

    No, I'm not using "NoScript".
According to the Mozilla link then 253 people have had this same issue.

I'd personally make sure its not an addon you've installed. 253 people isn't a lot considering the user base of firefox. What version are you using?

just checked mine and the HD setting on any video wont work, this is on the latest firefox and latest flash.

but on a side note firefox for me seems a bit rubbish it sometimes is completely slow to fix I just close and reopen it, I know I dont have any malware and to confirm it is firefox's problem 2 other computer, 1 with a brand new clean install also suffers from the exact same problems,

the problems I mean are I click firefox it opens and typing into (say) google search is really laggy and so is the web page loading, as I say closing firefox and reopening it fixes it.

I've only got one Addon (Property Bee).

The problem has only occurred in the last few days and seems to be related to Hotmail incorporating messenger into the browser.

Have you tried removing it? I'm having no problems with youtube though I am on Mint. (Messenger plugin is kinda what I meant by addon).
