Scottish Power have stuck their prices up - bigger jump than british gas but less than southern and scottish. I think its 8.9%. I saw uswitch tweeting about this and there is a link to their site - google it for a link
the guy opposite at me at work is furious - he just swapped from british gas to get the scottish power 70 quid cashback offer thing on uswitch - does he just need to call them to cancel this transaction or can uswitch do it for him? can he still drink the uswitch wine if he cancels?
there is !!!!!! all info on the scottish power site about the price rise but i dont think uswitch we be talking rubbish? or would they?
At least with bg had the balls to get on the news and talk about it.... typical scottish tactic to hide it in the press late on a friday afternoon.....poor scttish people, less haggis and irnbru from here on in for u!
EON to go next? sweepstake on how much they'll go up? 10% is my starting bid...

Actually Scottish Power is owned by Spanish energy firm Iberdrola

Assuming you're on dual fuel with gas CH, the fact that SP's gas is only going up 2% is a lot better than BG's hike.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

but you go to there site and nothing? ofgem should make them all declare really clearly on the front page of each of their sites what the hike means...
Competitionscafe - thanks, i never knew they were spanish?!?!? crazy!
I notice they are gonna make £1bn in the uk this year according to their last money update "ScottishPower Ebitda was 9.9% lower at !!!8364;989 million, reflecting a declining performance in liberalised business which was partially offset by higher revenues from networks as a result of new investments." The uk gets referred to as a 'foreign market'....wonder how much of this profit from their 'foreign market' goes back to spain and invested in there country...which isnt a bad thing as i go there for two weeks everyyear0 -

Never ever go any where near First utility, they have the worse reputation. OVO seem all right though.
I just swapped from BG Websaver 6 to EDF Online S@ver7. EDF wasn't the cheapest outright but with the £100 sign up bonus + £80 quidco cashback they work out cheaper and at least you know the prices should remain cheap for the winter. Probably go up in March though.0 -

On the contrary, there is a link on the front page RHS to the price change ... once you declare yourself as an existing customer"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Have you actually found the latest SP tariff details then? I can only find the existing ones at present.
Edit: don't worry, all the details are now on the site - looks like they were still uploading them when I posted"Now to trolling as a concept. .... At what point do the comp sites upate the prices? After the anouncement, or at the date the increase takes effect? No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Damn, just changed to SP. Luckily I'm only tied to them for 12 months and a low leccy user.0
