Thats a good point about having flue swept prior to firing up, I wonder what home report stated, I guess even a simple smoke test could assess any issues waiting to bite?

I hope 4DZ reports back on outcome..........

  • I've seen a lot of installers using High Temp silicone to join flue pipes together.......this sets on fire very easily....especially if you've had the stove glowing. Nothing but fire cement should be used for joining VE pipe together.

I was wondering if the previous people had a 90 degree stove pipe or something CR - instead of using a t piece.
