Dimplex Duo Heaters?

Hey All,
Now i have never been a fan of electric heaters having used GCH all my life. However, we viewed a newish property the other day (built 2007) and i was pleasantly suprised to find that the heaters wasnt as bad as i imagined them to be. The heaters were a Dimplex Duo Heat and they were controlled by a wall mounted controller (Same as GCH ones etc) with additional settings on the heaters themselves.
The owners told me that they spend around £50 a month on electric bills which to me doesnt sound too expensive considering there is no gas bill to pay?
Now am i missing something or are these heaters actually quite good/efficent?

All electric heaters are 100% efficient, there is no difference between them.
The owners may prefer their house at sub-zero temp, or may be out most days and evenings-they're hardly going to say that they are expensive to run. £50 per month is ludicrously cheap for an all-electric property (even a tiny one)-did they offer to show you the bills?
Electric heating is around 2 to 3 times more expensive than gas, so if you have a mains gas supply that is the method to use for heating. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
£50 a month, in July when they are on holiday?
Dimplex Duo-heat are basically Storage heaters with the ability to 'top up' heating with daytime electricity when required(as it often will be)

This means you have to have an Economy 7 tariff, which in turns means you pay a lot more for the electricity used during the other 17 hours.
You don't say the size of the property, but for a normal couple you would probably spend £50 a month on electricity before you start addressing heating and hot water bills.
That is not meant to 'knock' the heating system, but to put the bills into perspective.0
