    I'll second that one....

Wanty, if you are tempted, send them an email to watchdog@bbc.co.uk.

Ooh, as well as the agent harassment, don't forget to also include the "we don't engage in correspondence" line.

Well, excuse me if poor wanty was only trying to resolve a debt situation she didn't incur to the best of her financial abilities!!!!.........That's a cracker! I can just hear the Scottish voice now piping up!!!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Does anyone have an address for head office? Or know where to find one? The littlewoods website is less than co-operative

 Maybe I should give them a time frame to get back to me by.

Oh and she said you were all liars, I said I had consulted "advice" and told her what I had been told, apparently you all lied and don't have a clue about how they work :p

The National Debtline has template letters and one of them is specifically for catalopgue type companies requesting that they prove to you who owes the debt, by forcing (!) them to provide you with a signed agreement or threatening them to back off!

    Try there!

Make sure you send any letters by recorded delivery too, then they can't say they didn't get them.

Hi wanty - another good place to go for advice is Consumer Direct - they are brilliant and I've used them many times. Google Consumer Direct and the number will be there.......
They really are a lifeline in things like this.....:j

  • Wanty - don't bother writing it will only end up sitting on some "not my jobs" desk. I would try phoning this number 0151 235 2222 it's the liverpool head office. Say that you want to speak about an account you think has been opened fraudulently in your name. And ask to only speak to Chairmans office. I've spoken to this office before and they are the ONLY People who can sort anything out. Unfortunately I can't remember the woman's name, but she was from the Chairmans office and she authorised (After 6 months of the other idiots all saying we dont' know, nothing to do with us) a new Video machine free of charge - our original one came with no remote!!!

Call on Monday. And don't be put off if they try to put you through to Customer Service Just keep asking for the Chairmans office and taking the name of everyone you speak to who trys to put you throu to CS. I Did this and said I was going to report them as they probably shouldn't be working on the phones if they couldn't understand a simple request - I did NOT want the CS I wanted to complain to Mr Moores in person or at least his secretary. Admittedly this is a bit more bolshi than I normally am but I was SOOO fed up with them at this point, I was tempted to go into town and go to the office direct and not leave until someone did something.

    Hope this helps
  • Hop over to the consumer action group site to get your charges back. There are others claiming back Littlewoods charges (successfully).

Request a credit agreement. If they can't provide one, they can't prove the debt is yours and it isn't enforceable.
