Shouldnt you be off somewhere cooking? :p

You can help me write a letter if you really really want to :D

    'm not very well. :o:(

Ok, I'll see what I can do...
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Don't put yourself out on my account (pardon the pun) if you have something better to do, leave it for now. :)

No I never signed anything, they did send me a letter asking for my signiture to say I was the account holder, but I never filled it or sent it, mainly because I lost it :o :rotfl:

Thank goodness you lost it! Don't ever fill in another one if its ever sent to you. If you sign it, then its the ONLY way they can force you to pay a debt off.

    Good luck with the letter.

And Littlewoods should be flammin grateful someone is trying to pay back the debt rather than ignore it. Cheeky sods.

This being the case they haven’t a leg to stand on, and they know it.

If you really feel obliged to pay your mums debts for some reason then do so, but strictly on your terms, if that means £1 a week for the next 375 weeks then so be it, I also suggest you write them and tell them this, and at the same time advise them as the £15 charges are unlawful even when they are associated to a correctly executed agreement, and that in this case as they are unable to lawfully enforce the debt and you are paying them purely on good will that you wont even consider paying the charges.

All that said in fairness if I was you I would not actually feel obliged to pay you someone elses debts, and in real term littlewoods are unable to enforce the debt to you or your mum, the only person they may have a contract with is the original agent/ friend
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them

Thanks everyone for the help. I would really like to get them off my back, I am fed up of the phone calls.

If they did take it off me, then what would they do? Hand it back to the agent? Or do a search for my mum? The agent is more of an @rse than littlewoods, thats why I took it on.

Mind you, if they do a search for my mum, it would be nice to know where she is. :rotfl:

They may try your mum, but if she is in spain i dont fancy their chances!, the only person they could lawfully chase is the agent, he/she would then have to chase your mum.

Great, thats exactly what I didn't want. he actually knows where my mum is, he goes to her on holiday every so often, but he would still come down on me.

Warn him about harrassment. He can take the hint when the police turn up on his doorstep.

Well, just say: "Look here sunshine, I'm really sorry my mum's let you down, but that's not my fault. I've tried to help you out by paying some of it, but I can't afford to any more. Sort it out with my mum - she ordered the stuff."
